Where the early morning light reaches the mountains,

and the first turns are made.

 

The Alpenglow series is inspired by time spent skiing among the slopes of one of New England's most famed ski mountains, all while observing the environmental changes that happen as the early morning light rises over the distant mountains. 

 

These frosty, bone-chilling experiences evoke a sense of peace, as the sleeping mountains awaken around me with the subtle warmth of the new day's light. Each ridgeline slowly comes to life with a glistening glow as the crackling sound of defrosting rhyme ice falls in rhythmic patterns onto the snow around me.

Though cold,
I remind myself to pause,

breathe and observe all that is around me.
